Gram Niyozen Ashram was established in 1990-91. The organisation is registered under the Societies Registration Act-21 of 1860. It is a non governmental organisation; registered under FCRA and Income Tax Department since 1998. The registered office/head office is located in the western region of Uttar Pradesh in Aligarh district. The working area of the organisation is whole of India. At presently it is operating in Aligarh, Mahamayanagar Hathras, Mathura, Etah, Pilibhit, Badaun, Bulandshahar, Bareilly, Meerut and Jhansi districts of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The organisation is doing its efforts to do the creative works with the participation of people in unemployment eradication, women training, employment orientation through making SHGs of women from poor families, women self-dependence, adolescent girls training, AIDS awareness programmes, youth welfare programme, awareness programmes, social brotherhood and other programmes towards the concept of social justice and village self rule through the process of social change.

The organisation believes that bringing change in the social sector is possible only through the regular efforts towards developmental works by continuous dynamics, transparency and motivating everyone equally for participation and organising public contacts, workshops, trainings and cultural programmes.


  • Educational, economic, health and social development of women, children and poor people
  • Improvement of living standard of rural areas and build and strengthen capacities of Panchayati Raj through organisation


  • To make the poor, SCs, BCs, women and children employment oriented and independent through training
  • To provide training to women for employment to improve their financial condition
  • Organising schools and educating the children from poor families through linking them with Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan.
  • Formation of SHGs, their management and strengthening
  • Organising hospitals to make available the facilities related to women reproduction and child health and providing health facilities in the rural areas
  • Organising primary schools, crèches, and balwadis to provide education to children
  • To work for dalit upliftment, eradication of caste discrimination and social welfare
  • To provide training on village industries, small industries and cottage industries to make the youth independent and support them for their establishment
  • To work for public health
  • To provide the information on population control to women and poor families
  • To provide information on environment, agriculture, drinking water, consumer rights, legal rights, AIDS, etc. through awareness programmes
  • Work for training and awareness programmes to strengthen and make independent the Panchayati Raj Institution and work for maximum participation of women in Panchayats
